Is there a name for the paper currency that was around before the new conterfit changes?

I've been collecting the 100, 50, 20, 10, and 5 dollar bills that were around prior to the security changes. The newer bills have the large face on the front instead of the small one. I was just wondering if the older bills with the smaller faces had a certain name.

Is there a name for the paper currency that was around before the new conterfit changes?
I haven't heard one. Undoubtedly the currency collectors will think of something as time goes by.
