I'm writing a children's book and I remember this story from my childhood about a fox with a cape and a monocle. I can't remember the name of the story but it got me curious because I want to put it in the book I'm writing.
Any help would be nice.
What is the name of the story about the fox wearing a monocle?
Pinnochio
Reply:It wasn't Aesops fables illustrated with a fox wearing a monocle by any chance. Aesop wrote a number of fables featuring foxes which are on the public domain here.

Twisp %26amp; Catsby...from Penny Arcade. It has a cat with a monocle.
Although this is pretty recent, so it's probably not from your childhood. And it's not technically a "story" or a "book". And while I'm contradicting myself severely, I might add that it's not exactly for children, either.
Catsby's coat does seem pretty big; almost... cape-like, you could say...
*wink wink*
sigh.
