My husband has the television on 24/7. He sleeps in a recliner in front of the television. If there is any noise elsewhere in the house -- even conversation with our son -- he turns the volume up, but never turns it down again. Everything that is happening on the television is more important than any thing we want to talk to him about.
What is the name of the disease when someone has television on 24/7?
The name of the disease is Laziness.
You need to talk to him and tell him that this is unacceptable to do ALL the time... it is rude and shows that he does not care and does not want to be involved. Ask him if that's really the message he wants to send to you and your son.
Reply:I don't know couch potatoness. I like to have the TV on a lot, but I live alone and it's too weird when it gets quiet. I always turn the TV down because I think it's too loud.
Reply:You should throw away the TV. This is extreme addiction and it's not at all healthy for your husband and your family.
Reply:Brainwashed.
