What is the name of the respiratory infection caused by air conditioning units?

I can not remember the name, and can't find it via a search on the web...please help! I suppose it's caused by a virus or bacteria in a.c. units, and the infection commonly spreads in places like hotels.

What is the name of the respiratory infection caused by air conditioning units?
It's Legionellosis ( aka Legionnaires' Disease)
Reply:Legionnaires'
Reply:I think everyone who's answered so far is right about it being legionnaire's disease. (named that because the first reported cases came from an epidemic of the stuff among Legionaries who'd all been to a convention in a certain hotel)

But I don't think it is always fatal, especially if it's caught in time.
Reply:It's just regular bronchitis. Get it treated.
Reply:Are you talking about Legionaires disease? I think that's fatal, so maybe it's not the one you're looking for.
Reply:community acquired pneumonia is a bacterial respiratory disease that is commonly spread via a.c. unit
