What is the name of the little metallic star on cow boy boots in western movies?
Spur (or Spurs)





It's used to give a kick to the horses behind to signal them to go (they don't harm the horses though).





Probably online or a western shop somewhere.
Reply:They are called spurs, they were used for tagging the side of the horse and sometimes used in brawls to scar the other guy. I don't know if they still make or allow them as they are pretty dangerous. I'm sur that you can check that out at a cowboy store. You might even try Knott's berry farm, they use a lot of authentic cowboy gear and have the info, there. Good Luck. :)
